Padma Shri Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai was born on 2^nd July 1958 to Shri A. Mylswamy and Smt .M. Balasaraswathy at Kothavady Village ,Pollachi Taluk, Coimbatore District. He is the Project Director of  Chandrayaan -1 Spacecraft ,which was launched to the moon on 22^nd October 2008. This achievement has enhanced the image of our motherland at the international level. He hails from a weavers family and his father Mylsamy is a retired headmaster of panchayat middle School at nallatipalayam. He did Pre-University Course at NGM College, Pollachi during 1974-75 and further obtained   B.E. Electronics & Communication Engineering From GCT, Coimbatore and M.E. Applied Electronics from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore.

Lt. General S.L. Narasimhan, PVSM, AVSM, VSM is a MADRAS Regiment Officer. Studied B.Sc. Maths – 1973-1976 at NGM College.

Dr. C. Subramaniam, Vice-Chancellor, Tamil University, Thanjavur. Studied PUC 1967-68  , B.Sc.Chemistry 1968-1971 at NGM College.

Mr. Sivanandan, a 1976 batch IPS officer, pipped Director General of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) and former Mumbai police Commissioner Hasan Gafoor. Studied B.A. ECONOMICS– 1969-1972 at NGM College.

Dr. S. BALACHANDRAN graduated with a Bachelor and Master degrees in Physics from NGM College in the year 1985 and 1987 respectively. Then he went on to complete his M.Phil at Bharathiar University and received the same in the year 1988. He was awarded with Ph.D. degree from Pune University in the year 2007. Now he is serving as a Director of Area Cyclone Warning Centre, Cyclone Warning Research Centre, Cyclone Warning Dissemination Section and a faculty member of Training Section, Regional Meteorological Centre, Chennai. He has published more than 22 Research Papers in various reputed International Journals. He has carried out many Research Projects related to weather forecasting. He has presented a number of Research Papers at the USA, South Korea, India and so on. He has done plethora of academic activities like Reviewer of International Journals, Member of Board of Studies and Doctoral Committee Member in various Universities of our country
